Fishes

In our 3 lakes on the farm, there are predatory fish and turtles naturally. Sometimes, a crocodile can be seen, especially if there is no more food in the lake which the crocodile had preyed in.

Approximately 3 years ago, the lakes were fished out - as far as it is possible in stagnant water-, cleaned and then TILAPIA, JUNDIA, HUNGARIAN CARPS and CAPIN were introduced.

Due to the lake size as well as parts largely covered with aquatic plants, it is a challenge for line fishermen and professionals who use a fishing net.

Currently, the following types of fish can be found: TILAPIA, CARP, JUNDIA, TRAIDA, CASCUDO, GRUMATA. Most of these are native fish species and among the indigenous population very popular and gladly consumed food fish.
